Senior Engineer - Reliability Assessment
Responsibilities : Collect network models and other relevant information from the Member States to create / update models for year-ahead & +1 including RES. Assess system strength through Operational Studies and recommend operational measures. Lead the working group for network model setup to validate and improve the network model. Establish baseline for NTC limits for all corridors through Operational Studies. Establish and issue the maximum contingency size in each Member State through Operational Studies. Assess system protections through Operational Studies and suggest modifications and operational measures. Assess oscillatory stability of the Combined system through Operational Studies. Analyze the operational impact of any topological changes, expansions, and extensions across the Interconnector. Analyze the operational impact of major changes in Member States. Engage Consultant for operational studies for the combined system for year ahead & year-ahead+1. Perform load flow, short circuit, transient, and dynamic stability assessment studies. Analyze the performance of the system, including HVDC operations during disturbances and critical events. Conduct operational planning studies to ensure the stability and security of the combined system through effective short and medium-term planning. Create and update policies and procedures as required. Create and update KPIs as required. Education : Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Power Systems, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus but not required. Professional certifications (e.g., PE, CEng) are preferred. Skills
Proficiency in EMT studies. Strong understanding of HVDC systems, dynamic stability, protection systems, and power exchange assessments. Proficiency in PSS / E to perform all kinds of studies including advanced studies such as dynamic studies. Excellent analytical skills with experience in modeling and network.
