Overview
The IT Service Delivery Team Leader is leading the service delivery function, ensuring stability, efficiency, and security of customers infrastructure. This role oversees a team of engineers and administrators, driving operational excellence, managing incidents and escalations, and ensuring service quality through proactive monitoring, optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives, and aligning IT services with business needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the IT service delivery team, ensuring effective performance management, coaching, and career development.
- Oversee day-to-day IT service operations, ensuring adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and ITIL service management practices.
- Manage service delivery for Lenovo server and storage platforms, including installation, configuration, firmware upgrades, and lifecycle support.
- Ensure reliable virtualization and cloud operations using VMware vSphere / VCF, Nutanix AHV / Prism, and hybrid / multi-cloud integrations.
- Oversee service delivery on Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, Azure, M365) and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments.
- Collaborate with architecture and pre-sales teams to design and transition new services into operations.
- Supervise incident, problem, and change management processes, ensuring timely resolution and minimal business impact.
- Manage vendor relationships with Lenovo, VMware, Nutanix, Microsoft, and Red Hat; handle escalations and support contracts.
- Develop and maintain IT service reporting dashboards for performance, capacity, and compliance tracking.
- Drive automation and efficiency improvements across service delivery processes.
- Ensure infrastructure and services comply with corporate security, regulatory, and governance requirements.
Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related discipline (master’s preferred).7+ years of progressive IT infrastructure / service delivery experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.Hands-on experience in Lenovo server / storage solutions, VMware environments, Nutanix HCI, Microsoft enterprise stack, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.Technical Expertise
Strong knowledge and experience across Lenovo, Dell, and HP portfolios and solutions.Virtualization & Cloud : VMware vSphere, vSAN, Horizon, VCF, and NSX; Nutanix AHV and Prism Central; Azure hybrid services.Microsoft : Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange / O365, Azure services, and Intune.Red Hat : RHEL administration, automation with Ansible, OpenShift (advantage).Backup / DR tools (Veeam, Commvault) and monitoring platforms.Strong knowledge of ITIL service management processes (incident, change, problem, and service transition).Leadership & Soft Skills
Proven ability to lead cross-functional IT service teams in a complex enterprise environment.Excellent problem-solving, escalation management, and decision-making skills.Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on operational involvement.Preferred Certifications
