Responsibilities
- Investigate industrial accidents, injuries, or occupational diseases to determine causes and preventive measures.
- Report or review findings from accident investigations, facilities inspections, or environmental testing.
- Maintain and apply knowledge of current policies, regulations, and industrial processes.
- Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, ensuring safety regulation compliance.
- Contribute to drawing up the general framework for radiation protection and safe use of x‑ray devices and radioactive sources in the factory.
- Adhere to the general instructions for protection from ionising radiation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- Continuous radiological control and supervision of the application of radiation protection rules for workplaces and workers, applying radiation exposure rates per national instructions.
- Conduct periodic radiological surveys in examination areas on production lines and surrounding areas.
- Accurate follow‑up of radiation protection and safety reports submitted periodically to facility management and the regulatory authority (NRRC).
- Distribute TLD cards to radiation workers and follow up registration of their exposed radiation doses.
- Annual medical tests for all radiation workers.
- Periodic calibration of radiation survey devices and personal protective equipment in licensed centers.
- Keep records of all radioactive sources and x‑ray machines, documenting specifications.
- Monitor and report shortages or inefficiencies, malfunctions, and leakage of personal protective equipment.
- Prepare a radio‑logical emergency plan for exposure accidents or radioactive source contamination, always maintaining necessary tools and devices.
- Notify the competent authority (NRRC) of any misbehaviour in radiation practices contravening protection instructions.
- Organise periodic training programs in radiation protection and safety for workers, providing the NRRC with scientific material and participant names.
- Reject actions that could endanger employees or violate radiation protection instructions.
- Monitor and report Environmental KPIs daily in the Plant indicator file.
- Submit reports on decarbonization, water usage, energy usage, recycling, packaging data, and AWS certificate per Business unit requirements, plus SVA renewal.
- Monitor water usage, energy usage, waste recycling, and hazardous waste disposal by third parties.
- Report Environmental KPIs monthly in the MRM file and KOSMOS.
- Report Sustainability Data monthly to OLAYAN via their online platform.
- Act as Sustainability Champion, reporting data annually to the GM and then to OLAYAN.
- Renew and follow up on all governmental licenses and certificates related to NRRC or Environment.
Job Requirements
Post‑secondary degree in Occupational Safety, Environment Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.Certified Radiation Safety Officer from NRRC in Nuclear gauge.Advanced proficiency in English and computer skills.Strong analytical skills.Arabic : Native proficiency.English : Advanced proficiency.2–3 years experience in safety and radiation safety.Seniority Level
