Truck Crane Operator

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Operation :

Drive the truck to the work site and operate the crane's levers and pedals to rotate the chassis, extend the boom, and raise or lower the loadline.

Safety Checks & Setup :

Conduct daily pre-operation inspections of the crane, set up outriggers, and monitor weather and site conditions to ensure safe operation.

Material Handling :

Safely lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment, ensuring loads are properly bound and discharged.

Load & Stability Management :

Interpret load charts to determine safe load capacities and monitor crane stability and load weights during lifting operations.

Maintenance & Records :

Perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs on the crane, keep maintenance and activity logs, and document inspections and malfunctions.

Safety Compliance :

Follow all safety guidelines, procedures, and regulations, including those from OSHA, to maintain a safe working environment.

Communication :

Coordinate with ground operators and signal persons, interpreting hand and verbal signals to guide crane movements.

Skills Essential Skills

Experience in operating heavy cranes, specifically truck cranes for minimum 5 years.

Possession of valid licenses or certifications (e.g., Driving License, TUV certificate) for operating heavy equipment.

Technical skill in operating a truck-mounted crane.

Knowledge of load charts, rigging techniques, and crane setup.

Strong communication skills to work with ground crews.

Physical stamina for the job's demands.

A strong understanding of and commitment to safety protocols.

Candidate must have previous work experience in KSA or at least other GCC countries.
