Job description

To design, develop, and optimize mechanical systems and components, ensuring high performance, innovation, and compliance with project requirements, while supporting cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Create and develop mechanical designs, specifications, and schematics.
  • Use CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to model and analyze components and systems.
  • Testing and Evaluation : Conduct experiments and tests on prototypes to verify functionality and performance.
  • Analyze results and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
  • Oversee projects from conception to implementation, ensuring compliance with budgets and deadlines.
  • Documentation and Reporting.
  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, and documentation for engineering projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of work and design changes.
  • Problem Solving : investigate and troubleshoot mechanical failures and provide solutions.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements to enhance existing systems.
  • Undertake any other functions are assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Preferred Candidate

  • Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Familiar with manufacturing processes and materials selection.
