Planning Engineer

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Planning Engineer to join our dynamic team in the construction and building industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and within budget. This role requires a keen understanding of project management principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. The Planning Engineer will play a crucial role in the planning phase of projects, working closely with project managers, architects, and contractors to establish timelines, allocate resources, and identify potential risks. The successful candidate will also utilize project management software to track progress and generate reports, providing insights that will inform decision-making and improve project efficiency.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using appropriate project management software.

Coordinate with project managers and stakeholders to gather and analyze project requirements and objectives.

Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines.

Monitor project progress and prepare regular status reports for management and stakeholders.

Facilitate meetings with project teams to discuss progress, challenges, and solutions.

Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout the project lifecycle.

Assist in resource allocation and budget management to optimize project outcomes.

Conduct post-project evaluations to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.

Provide technical support and guidance to team members regarding planning and scheduling methodologies.

Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance project planning processes.

Preferred Candidate

Proven experience as a Planning Engineer in the construction industry, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.

In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with diverse teams.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.

Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar tools.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

A degree in Civil, Agricultural, or Landscape Architecture Engineering.

10-15 years of experience, preferably within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Experience with Public Investment Fund (PIF) projects and landscaping projects, including baseline scheduling, weekly and monthly reporting, schedule presentations, and client meetings.

Proficient in managing all phases of project life cycles, from initiation to closure, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Scheduling Software :

Expertise in using software like Primavera P6 and MS Project to create and manage project schedules, track progress, and generate reports.

Analytical Skills :

Ability to analyze complex data sets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement within project timelines.

Communication Skills :

Strong verbal and written communication skills, essential for collaborating with team members and presenting project updates to stakeholders.

Landscaping Project Experience :

Familiarity with landscaping project management, including baseline scheduling and reporting, which is crucial for successful project execution.
