Senior Instrument Engineer The Senior Instrument Engineer may operate within the Core Engineering Team or PMT project team environment. The Senior Instrument Engineer may have instrument personnel under his responsibility and will control and manage them, delegating activities to such support personnel. The Senior Instrument Engineer may work under the supervision of a Lead Instrument Engineer in which case his responsibilities will be as delegated.

Responsibilities

Day‑to‑day control of FEED engineers in preparation of Control Block Diagrams and identification of all field signals

Review and approve design of ESD, Fire and Gas Detection system, datasheets and specifications

Provide timely comments on FEED deliverables and ensure their resolution and implementation

Review and approve all drawings, cable trays (above and underground), junction box location and cabling

Review and approve vendor drawings and other submissions

Knowledge / Experience (Skills)

At least twelve (12) years of experience; six (6) years of them within instrumentation & control engineering for major Oil and Gas / Petrochemical projects. DCS experience required

PMC experience at similar role for at least several years is preferable

Knowledge of Saudi Aramco Desktop Standard and procedures / practices is beneficial

Previous exposure to construction and commissioning phases is beneficial but not mandatory

Computer literate with all MS Packages, particularly Word and Excel proficiency

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering
