Responsibilities

Greet and welcome visitors, golfers, and members as they enter the golf shop, providing friendly and courteous assistance.

Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about golf course facilities, services, and programs.

Manage tee time reservations, golf cart rentals, and equipment bookings using the golf course management system or reservation software.

Process retail transactions for golf merchandise, apparel, equipment rentals, and other products, ensuring accuracy and efficiency at the point of sale.

Assist customers with product selection, sizing, and fitting, providing knowledgeable recommendations and personalized service.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the golf shop retail area, including merchandise displays, shelves, and product signage.

Monitor inventory levels, restock merchandise, and assist with inventory counts and reconciliation as needed.

Assist in receiving and inspecting incoming merchandise shipments, verifying accuracy and quality of products received.

Coordinate with golf shop staff, golf professionals, and other departments to ensure seamless operations and exceptional customer service.

Assist with administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and record-keeping, to support the efficient operation of the golf shop.

The manager is authorized to assign the employee to any task within the department.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment is preferred.

Knowledge of golf terminology, equipment, and apparel is advantageous.

Skills and Competencies

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Proficiency in using computer systems, POS (point of sale) software, and reservation systems.

Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

A passion for golf and a desire to provide exceptional service to golfers and visitors.
