Functional Description

The Data Analyst is responsible for supporting the development, monitoring, and evaluation of the university’s strategic initiatives through data-driven analysis and performance insights. The role focuses on collecting, analyzing, and interpreting institutional data to guide strategic decision-making, improve performance outcomes, and support evidence-based planning across all university units.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Collect, validate, and analyze institutional and departmental data to support strategic and operational planning.
• Design and maintain interactive dashboards, performance scorecards, and analytical reports using business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or Excel).
• Conduct data analysis, trend forecasting, and scenario modeling to identify opportunities for institutional improvement.
• Convert complex data into clear and practical insights to support leadership decisions.
• Monitor and evaluate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) aligned with the university’s strategic goals and operational plans.
• Support the preparation of strategic reports, performance reviews, and accreditation documentation through quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with institutional data governance standards.
• Conduct benchmarking and comparative studies with national and international institutions.
• Collaborate with departments to design data collection tools, surveys, and templates for tracking performance metrics.
• Prepare analytical briefs, presentations, and visual summaries that communicate findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
• Participate in institutional effectiveness and continuous improvement initiatives.
