Overview

Guest Service Experts take initiative to deliver a wide range of services to ensure guests enjoy their meal. This includes setting tables, communicating with the kitchen, interacting with and serving guests, and cleaning work areas and supplies. The Guest Service Expert makes transactions feel like part of the experience.

Critical to success in any role are : creating a safe workplace, following company policies and procedures, upholding quality standards, and maintaining a professional uniform, personal appearance, and communications. Guest Service Experts will be on their feet and moving around (standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods; moving over uneven or slippery surfaces); managing the menu (reading and visually verifying information); and performing hands-on work (moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects up to 25 pounds without assistance and up to 50 pounds with assistance; overhead and floor-level reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping).

Doing these things well is critical to delivering great guest experiences and supporting the business.

Responsibilities

  • Set tables and maintain dining areas to ensure guest comfort and satisfaction.
  • Communicate with the kitchen to coordinate guest orders and service flow.
  • Interact with and serve guests, addressing questions and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Clean work areas and manage supplies to support efficient service.
  • Read and visually verify menu information and assist with menu management as needed.
  • Move and handle objects safely, including lifting up to 25 pounds without assistance and up to 50 pounds with assistance; operate with overhead and floor-level reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education : High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Related Work Experience : At least 1 year of related work experience.
  • Supervisory Experience : No supervisory experience required.
  • License or Certification : None
