The role
PE Global are seeking an Accounting Specialist – Mergers & Acquisitions to join the Global M&A advisory department of one of the largest integrated Energy and Chemicals companies based in Saudi Arabia
Duties of the role
- Provides expert and objective advice to senior management to support decision-making in respect of M&A valuations on specific transactions.
- Supports the development and execution of M&A transactions by providing comprehensive financial analysis activities including building and utilizing complex financial models, risk and uncertainty analysis, and producing financial statements.
- Sources and manages valuation inputs from multiple internal and external sources, and advises on gaps, deficiencies and risks.
- Develops, coaches and mentors team members in areas of expertise.
- Contributes to the continuous improvement of processes and methodologies to become a center of excellence of valuation for the Company.
- Provides ad hoc financial analysis activities including on transfer pricing, impairment reviews, and group policy reviews.
- Manages external Financial Advisors and consultants for valuation activities on transactions.
- Develops relationships in banks to bring external perspectives on the M&A landscape to the Company
Education & Experience Requirements
Candidates will be based onsite with the client in Saudi ArabiaCandidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Management, or EngineeringPossession of an advanced business degree (e.g. MBA) or Accounting qualification is preferred, but not required.Extensive experience in conducting financial analysis in M&A transactions, likely gained in leading investment banks, accounting firms, or large international corporations.Significant experience in large and complex cross-border transactions in energy or natural resources sectors.Expert level knowledge and use of financial analysis tools and methodologiesUnderstanding of financial statementsFamiliarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and international taxationInterested candidates should send an up-to-date CV to
