This position is based in Ireland.
Fabricates, assembles, installs, and repairs sheet metal products and systems. Works with various metals to create parts for HVAC systems, roofing, industrial equipment, or other structures, often using specialized machinery and welding techniques.
Key Duties :
- Fabricate, assemble, and install products made from sheet metal.
- Read blueprints and specifications to determine product dimensions and design.
- Measure, cut, bend, and shape metal using machinery like shears, brakes, and rolls.
- Join metal pieces using various methods, including welding, riveting, and soldering.
- Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications.
- Work in various settings, including workshops, construction sites, or manufacturing plants.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.Completion of an apprenticeship or vocational training in sheet metal work.Proficiency with sheet metal fabrication tools (shears, brakes, rolls, presses, plasma cutters).Ability to read blueprints and technical specifications.Knowledge of different metals and their properties.Welding skills (e.g., TIG, MIG, Stick) often required.Physical strength, dexterity, and ability to work safely with heavy machinery and materials.Attention to detail for precise measurements and fabrication.Benefits
