The Safety Valves Services Technician is capable of independently handling activities related to safety & relief valve overhauling, repair, assembly, and testing of manual (on / off), safety relief, and control valves, fittings, and perform coordinated work alongside a team of valve technicians.

Characterization
Involves and participates independently in the overhaul, repair, assembly, and testing / calibration of manual, relief, and control valves, fittings. The work will be carried out both in the shop and at customer sites.
Result Areas
Inspections, Checks & Overhauls : Carrying out visual inspections, checks, and condition of all types of valves (on / off isolation, safety relief, and control valves). Disassemble, clean valve components, inspect, repair / overhaul valves as per standard procedures. Maintenance and replacement of all instruments (control system, electrical / pneumatic valves, thermocouples). Setting up and testing of all types of valves and fittings. Completion of valves assembly works (installation and extending said equipment on site at customers’ premises) calibration of all controlling equipment, controlling loop designing. Install, repair, and maintain mechanical regulating and controlling devices, such as electric meters, gas regulators, thermostats, safety and flow valves, and other mechanical governors. Disassemble and repair mechanical control devices or valves, such as regulators, thermostats, or hydrants, using power tools, hand tools, and cutting torches.Job Specification
Administration & Reporting : Responsible for reporting all findings, operations, processing of each completed task (repair scope, inspection, test, and overhaul reports) to Supervisor.Customer Contact : Responsible for providing technical feedback about the job status to the Supervisor.Skills
Education
Completion of a minimum of technical school, Diploma in mechanical.Knowledge of safety & relief valve repair / overhaul / testing according to standards, API, ASME.Experience : Minimum of 5-10 years relevant work experience in valve manufacturing / valve repair industry.
