General Accountant

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented General Accountant to join our team at a leading Human Resources Outsourcing firm in Riyadh. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. As a General Accountant, you will be responsible for processing financial transactions, preparing accurate financial reports, and assisting in audits. Your expertise will help streamline our financial operations and support our mission to provide exceptional HR solutions to our clients.

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing processes.

Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Coordinate and assist with annual audits, providing necessary documentation and support to auditors.

Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.

Assist in budget preparation and forecasting, providing insights based on financial analysis.

Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.

Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with local tax regulations.

Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that drive business decisions.

Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a General Accountant or similar role, with a strong understanding of accounting principles.

Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills, capable of identifying discrepancies and resolving issues efficiently.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with team members and clients.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Strong ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

Knowledge of local tax laws and regulations in Saudi Arabia is a plus.
