Central Workshop Manager

Overview

Responsible to manage and provide technical support as required for delivery of all the mechanical and electrical utilities required to support the operations, including the electric HV power distribution, standby generation, fuel supplies, water and sewage plant and reticulation. Responsible for operating the utilities, setting up and managing the Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) regime to support the whole operation, identify spares requirement, train operatives and support staff, maintain operational records and operational costs. Responsibilities

Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of the machine shop, tool room, moulding maintenance, and automobile workshop. Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure optimal performance of all equipment and machinery. Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to prioritize and schedule repairs and maintenance tasks. Develop & execute preventive / predictive maintenance to ensure high equipment uptime. Oversee the procurement of spare parts, tools, and equipment needed for workshop operations. Monitor and control workshop budgets, expenses, and inventory levels. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all workshop activities. Train and mentor workshop staff to enhance their skills and performance. Collaborate with other departments to support production goals and timelines. Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings in workshop operations. Prepare reports and documentation related to workshop activities and performance. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with, 10 years of experience. Preference to KSA experience and to local gents with Iqama transfer. Proven experience in workshop management, preferably in a plastic manufacturing company. Strong technical knowledge of machinery, tools, and equipment used in plastic manufacturing. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and make decisions under pressure. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in workshop operations. Proficiency in computer applications and maintenance management software.
