Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Associate Director of Infrastructure to join a leading international consultancy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in the Middle East, leading multidisciplinary teams on large-scale infrastructure, highway, and utility projects of city and masterplanning.
This is a client-facing leadership role, responsible for the successful delivery of complex infrastructure design portfolios, ensuring strategic alignment, and technical excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the design and delivery of infrastructure projects, including highways, utilities, and site-wide infrastructure
- Oversee multidisciplinary project teams
- Act as the client’s primary point of contact for all infrastructure-related matters, ensuring satisfaction, quality delivery, and commercial performance
- Contribute to the planning, design strategy, and execution of infrastructure works for large-scale developments
- Work closely with UK and UAE Cities teams
- Support cities team on advisory work
- Ensure all designs comply with local and international standards, regulations, and best practices
- Lead stakeholder engagement and interface management with government authorities, municipalities, and developers
- Manage budgets, project timelines, and resource allocation to ensure optimal delivery
- Provide technical and strategic input during project bidding, procurement, and negotiations
- Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities, preparing proposals, and presenting to clients
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related disciplineChartered Engineer status or equivalent preferredStrong background experience in infrastructure design and delivery, with significant experience in the Middle EastDemonstrated experience leading the design and delivery of highways, utilities, and infrastructure at urban and masterplan scalesStrong leadership and team management skills, capable of overseeing multi-office teams and coordinating across disciplinesExcellent client engagement, communication, and negotiation skillsSeniority level
