Job Description Summary A Power System Engineer is responsible for the implementation of advanced power systems applications. The implementation includes software configuration and testing, application integration and tuning of power system applications (Network and Generation, including Modular Network and Generation), forecasting (Renewable and DER), simulation frameworks, and WAMS. The role also includes application tuning, results analysis, task planning, progress monitoring, risk identification and mitigation, and database modelling related to electrical network characteristics. The position requires physical presence in Saudi Arabia.

What You Will Do

Act as technical focal point at site for implementation, tuning, and maintenance of software for one or more power system applications (RealTime Network Application, power flow, study applications, contingency analysis, DER / renewable forecasting, WAMS).

Ensure quality assurance standards and procedures are followed in all aspects of application tuning.

Consult with other technical team members to ensure that project-related applications are configured according to best design and standard guidelines.

Perform power system application tuning, results analysis, defect analysis and correction.

Plan implementation tasks, monitor progress and costs, evaluate CTC (cost to complete) for assigned power system applications.

Provide input to delivery manager on schedules, risk evaluation and mitigation plans related to power application tuning.

Interface and develop relationships with customers and partners on general and specific issues within area of functional expertise.

Deliver power system applications respecting budget, schedule, quality and customer satisfaction.

Manage customers at site and coordinate efficiently.

Achieve best application results within the required time.

What Do You Bring

Power system engineering or software engineering with strong electrotechnical basis.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.

Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms such as regression, ANN, etc.

Registered with Saudi Engineering Council.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable in technical discussions with customers (English and Arabic mandatory).

5 to 10 years of experience in the power system domain.

How To Stand Out

Good business and software knowledge of the power systems domain, particularly network modelling, network analysis and generation control functions / applications.

Good understanding of WAMS concepts and database operation.

Business knowledge of the energy domain highly appreciated.

Programming skills in C++, Java or related languages.
