The Role

Surbana Jurong (SJ) Group is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join the JECO Project team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The role involves providing project management and technical oversight of all mechanical works under the PMC scope, ensuring design integrity, compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

The Mechanical Engineer will act as the client’s representative to monitor, review, and manage contractor and consultant performance on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Review mechanical design documents, shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements for compliance with project requirements.
• Monitor and supervise contractors’ installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, etc.).
• Coordinate with design, civil, architectural, and MEP teams to resolve technical and interface issues.
• Ensure that all works adhere to project specifications, standards, and HSE requirements.
• Review progress reports, inspection results, and quality documentation.
• Support technical meetings, design coordination sessions, and handover activities.
