Our client, a leading KSA womenswear brand, is seeking a Senior Buyer to join their team. The Senior Buyer is responsible for executing and refining the buying strategy, identifying buying opportunities, and ensuring the brand remains competitive through strategic sourcing, proactive weekly trade analysis, seasonal analysis, and in-depth market analysis. This role focuses on driving product sourcing, monitoring market trends, and maintaining strong vendor relationships while empowering the team to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Vendor & Supplier Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring product quality, competitive pricing, and timely delivery.
  • Trend Awareness & Proactive Approach : Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in the assigned categories, ensuring the department remains proactive in responding to market changes. Continuously monitor competitor activity to ensure the brand maintains a competitive edge in product sourcing and range development.
  • Team Empowerment & Communication : Empower the team to work independently in fittings, vendor communication, and overall execution, providing clear guidance on department requirements. Foster effective communication to ensure team members understand the goals and requirements of the buying department.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a buying role within the fashion retail industry, preferably in women’s apparel.
  • Strong understanding of fashion trends, consumer behavior, and market dynamics.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to drive sales and profitability.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in retail buying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
