Overview
Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a Senior Director - HSEW (Health, Safety, Environment, and Wellbeing) to lead our comprehensive approach to health, safety, environment, and wellbeing within our innovative projects. This strategic leadership position will focus on creating and implementing best practices to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors. Your expertise will drive culture change and integrate HSEW considerations into all aspects of project planning and execution, ensuring compliance with industry regulations while promoting sustainability throughout Qiddiya's operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage a robust HSEW strategy that aligns with Qiddiya's objectives and commitment to project excellence
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and environmental impact evaluations to identify hazards and recommend appropriate mitigation measures
- Establish HSEW policies, standards, and procedures, ensuring they are effectively communicated and adhered to across the organization
- Lead the organization's training and development initiatives to promote a culture of safety and wellbeing among employees
- Manage HSEW performance indicators, analyzing trends and providing actionable insights to senior management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for HSEW matters, liaising with regulatory authorities, stakeholders, and industry experts
- Coordinate incident investigations, ensuring thorough documentation, reporting, and the implementation of corrective actions
- Stay updated with industry developments and changes in regulations to adapt strategies and maintain compliance
- Promote and incentivize initiatives that foster employee health, wellness objectives, and environmental stewardship
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety Management, or a related field; Master's degree is an advantageA minimum of 15-20 years of experience in HSE management, particularly within large-scale projects or construction environmentsSolid understanding of relevant HSE laws, standards, and best practicesProven track record of developing and implementing successful HSEW programs and initiativesStrong leadership skills with the ability to influence others and foster a culture of compliance and safetyExceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a keen attention to detailsExcellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skillsProfessional certifications in health, safety, and environmental management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are highly desirableDemonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments and effectively manage multiple prioritiesDetails
