Summary

The Crushing Operator carries out all activities associated with the crushing part of the Titanium Sponge production process. This includes operating plant within set parameters, monitoring production workflow to assure quality, and recording routine production data. The operator also supports process routines, handles plant problems and equipment failures, and performs simple routine maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor all aspects of the assigned process area and ensure safe use of equipment.
• Oversee the distillation and cooling processes and take corrective action if necessary.
• Observe and monitor the assigned process, anticipate any problems, and communicate to colleagues and supervisor.
• Monitor equipment performance and prepare operating equipment for maintenance following established procedures.
• Follow quality procedures to ensure product quality.
• Collect data on equipment or process malfunctions for appropriate analysis.
• Work with the team to identify, detail, and evaluate potential process or equipment improvements.
• Coordinate shift activities with the shift supervisor.
