Manager Strategy

Job Purpose : As the Manager Strategy for the Esports World Cup Foundation, your primary role is to actively manage the development and execution of strategic initiatives that drive the growth and success of EWC. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future direction of the esports business, identifying opportunities, and navigating the competitive landscape. Your strategic vision will contribute to the long-term success and sustainability of the Esports World Cup Foundation.

Duties and Responsibilities

Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence & Strategic Planning :

Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats

Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on market dynamics

Contribute to development and refinement of the organization's strategic plans, ensuring alignment with its mission, vision, and core values

Define long-term goals, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success

Strategic Initiatives & Business Development :

Identify and prioritize strategic initiatives and projects that support the organization's growth and competitive positioning

Develop and implement action plans to drive the successful execution of these initiatives

Evaluate potential business opportunities, partnerships, and alliances that align with the corporate strategy

Assess the feasibility of entering new markets, expanding product lines, or diversifying the business

Performance Metrics, Reporting & Risk Assessment and Mitigation :

Establish key metrics and KPIs to monitor the progress and effectiveness of strategic initiatives

Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior leadership and the board of directors Identify potential risks associated with strategic initiatives and develop plans to mitigate them

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards

Stakeholder Relations :

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, department heads, and external partners, to ensure alignment with the corporate strategy

Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership and the board of directors

Education and Experience

5+ years of relevant experience in strategy focused and project management roles

University degree in Business Administration, Law, etc

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Prior experience in the esports industry with a very good understanding of the market is highly preferred

Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Excellent leadership and communication skills

Proficiency in project management software and tools

Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving project and organizational goals

Strong prior experience working in KSA.

Deep understanding of the local market.

Fluent in Arabic and English.
