Financial Operations Specialist

Financial Operations Specialist We are looking for a Financial Operations Specialist to join Salla's Controllership Department, reporting directly to the Accounting Manager. This role focuses on managing cross‑department financial operations, ensuring smooth coordination between controllership, operations, and other business units, and resolving manual or exceptional financial cases efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities

Handle e‑payment transfers ensuring accuracy, proper authorization, and timely processing.

Manage financial shipping operations that require manual action including weight corrections and COD settlements.

Act as the primary point of contact for Jira requests directed to the Controllership Department, reviewing, assigning and following up until full resolution.

Monitor and follow up on merchants' activations with the responsible team to ensure timely and accurate execution.

Coordinate inter‑departmental financial operations ensuring proper alignment between controllership, operations and product teams.

Support reconciling and validating financial data related to merchants, shipping and payment activities.

Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with internal financial controls and procedures.

Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Prepare periodic reports summarizing financial and operational activities under the role.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

3–5 years of experience in accounting or financial operations.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data validation.

Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial workflows.

Excellent communication and coordination skills across departments.

Strong problem‑solving and organizational abilities with great attention to detail.

Good command of English, both written and verbal.

Ability to work on‑site full‑time at the Makkah office.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Jira or other ticketing / issue‑tracking systems.

Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle NetSuite or similar).

Exposure to e‑commerce or SaaS financial operations is a plus.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.
