TASKS Core Responsibilities and Accountabilities Strategic Product Management & Business Strategy Conduct comprehensive assessment of current Merchant Acquiring product portfolio and competitive positioning Develop strategic roadmap for product enhancements, new service offerings, and market expansion Lead market intelligence initiatives to identify emerging opportunities and competitive threats Define product requirements and specifications aligned with aggressive growth objectives Establish comprehensive product performance metrics and KPI frameworks Support the strategic planning initiatives including business case development and ROI analysis Design and execute market entry strategies for new customer segments and geographical regions Business Development & Growth Strategy Design and implement comprehensive strategies to scale merchant customer base and transaction volumes Develop and execute targeted customer acquisition strategies across various merchant segments (SME, Enterprise, E- commerce) Create and manage strategic partnership programs, payment facilitators, and technology providers Drive revenue growth through upselling, cross-selling, and merchant lifecycle value optimization Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities in merchant acquiring Develop comprehensive go-to-market strategies for the products and service enhancements Create sophisticated customer segmentation strategies and personalized acquisition approaches Lead pricing strategy development including competitive analysis and value-based pricing models Strategic Business Development Requirements Drive market expansion initiatives including new vertical market penetration and geographical expansion Develop strategic business development frameworks including lead generation, qualification, and conversion processes Establish strategic metrics and performance indicators for business development activities Lead competitive intelligence initiatives and market positioning strategies Drive strategic acquisition and partnership evaluation processes Lead strategic customer research and market analysis initiatives Operational Excellence Review and optimize existing merchant onboarding and lifecycle management processes Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend process improvements Establish best practices for merchant acquiring business Develop frameworks for measuring and improving merchant satisfaction and retention Create scalable operational models to support growth targets Knowledge and Experience Essential Requirements 5-8 years experience in merchant acquiring and payments industry with 2-3 years in managerial role Proven managerial experience in product management within financial services / fintech Track record of leading teams and driving business results in payments / acquiring Deep understanding of payment processing, acquiring systems, and merchant services Experience managing merchant acquiring business growth initiatives and team leadership Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with ability to manage complex projects Technical Expertise Knowledge of payment rails, clearing and settlement processes Understanding of regulatory requirements in merchant acquiring (Mada, Schemes, SAMA etc) Familiarity with emerging payment technologies (digital wallets, API integration, embedded payments) Experience with product development methodologies (Agile, Scrum) Leadership & Management Strong communication and presentation skills for internal and external stakeholders Experience working with senior management and driving strategic initiatives Cultural fit for collaborative leadership in dynamic, growth-oriented environments Preferred Qualifications Mastercard network experience and industry relationships Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Technology Experience leading digital transformation initiatives in financial services International markets exposure and multi-currency operations knowledge
