RSSE is responsible for managing and operating various sports and recreational activities at The Red Sea, including water sports (Galaxea), adventure sports (Akun), and general recreation (WAMA).

Overview
The Water Sports Senior Manager is a position whose primary role is to support the RSSE General Manager to develop all water sports related tourism assets and their business function. The role includes development and operational roll-out of water sports projects, collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders, and ensuring all business sides are informed throughout the project lifecycle. The position works closely with the Director of Sports & Adventure to enhance project outcomes and may involve remote work to identify and train the team delivering water sports assets. Strong watersports experience is required, including sailing, SUP, windsurfing, kiteboarding, wing foiling, and other water sports. Internationally recognised instructor qualifications are a must.
Job Responsibilities
- Reporting directly to the RSSE General Manager and working with other Senior Managers to develop and manage all phases of water sports related projects.
- Collaborate with Health & Safety and Legal Departments to develop policies, procedures and source operational licenses.
- Assist in writing, managing and delivering Standard Operating Procedures and processes for water sports activities at key venues within the Red Sea Development Project.
- Coordinate with 3rd party service providers for training delivery where needed.
- Monitor and manage standards of operations.
- Support communication with international and local manufacturers of equipment chosen for use within the water sports centres.
- Manage routine equipment maintenance and oversee periodic equipment replacement.
- Conduct regular safety audits and program delivery evaluation visits.
- Establish internal operational teams and oversee team management.
- Work with other Senior Managers and the RSSE General Manager to plan and deliver CPD sessions for water sports staff as required.
- Provide ongoing support to ensure water sports programs align with sustainability goals in the project master plan.
- Collaborate with the Director of Sports & Adventure to engage development project leaders for integrating water sports elements into their projects.
- Attend project meetings, develop detailed project plans, monitor progress, and update project databases.
- Create and maintain project presentations and site visit survey materials.
- Compile department information to generate internal and external communications and media publications.
- Possible remote work from RSSE offices may be required.

Dinghy Instructor, Senior Instructor or equivalentISA Qualified Surf and SUP instructorFirst Aid QualificationOther awards such as ERCA, RPIOL or APIOLLevel 2 Powerboating, or equivalent as a minimum qualificationProven coaching and training skills across marine multi-sportsUnderstanding of the local and global water sports marketsMinimum 8 years in watersports industry, experience in the Middle East preferredExperience in developing and managing watersports centresDemonstrated team leadership in previous positionsExperience in youth and adult water sports programs and proceduresSkills
