Job Description : The System Configuration Management – SWD Engineer will design, implement, and maintain enterprise software deployment, OS imaging, and endpoint management solutions leveraging Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Microsoft Intune in a hybrid on-premises / cloud environment.

Responsibilities

  • SCCM Architecture & Operations : Configure and maintain SCCM site infrastructure, distribution points, client collections, and compliance baselines to ensure reliable software delivery
  • OS Imaging & Task Sequences : Build, update, and validate Windows 10 / 11 OS images; develop and maintain MDT / SCCM OSD task sequences for automated deployments
  • Application Packaging & Deployment : Package, test, and deploy MSI / App-V applications via SCCM and Intune; migrate legacy packages to modern management frameworks
  • Intune & MDM Management : Design and implement Intune device enrollment, configuration profiles, compliance policies, and conditional access rules for mobile and desktop endpoints
  • Automation & Scripting : Develop PowerShell scripts to automate imaging, packaging, and reporting tasks, reducing manual effort and build time
  • Patch Management & Update Compliance : Plan and execute monthly patch cycles; monitor update deployments and remediate failures across Windows endpoints
  • Incident & Change Management : Troubleshoot SCCM / Intune-related incidents (e.g., PXE boot failures, content replication issues), escalate complex problems, and document resolutions
  • Cross-Team Collaboration : Work closely with networking, security, and support teams to ensure certificates (PKI), firewall rules, and network services support endpoint management workflows

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience administering SCCM Current Branch and Microsoft Intune in enterprise environments
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, and PKI integration for certificate-based authentication
  • Proficiency with OS deployment tools : MDT, WDS, and SCCM OSD task sequences
  • PowerShell scripting skills for automation of packaging, imaging, and reporting
  • Must hold one of the following certifications :
  • Microsoft Certified : Endpoint Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft 365 Certified : Modern Desktop Administrator Associate

    • Other Qualifications (Good-to-Have)

  • Microsoft Certified : Azure Administrator Associate or CompTIA Security+
  • Familiarity with additional MDM platforms (e.g., VMware Workspace ONE, Samsung Knox)
  • Excellent documentation, knowledge-sharing, and customer-facing communication skills
