Job Description :

Application Strategy and Leadership :

Develop and implement a strategic IT application roadmap that aligns with the organization’s overarching business objectives and AI innovation goals.

Lead and manage the applications team, ensuring the effective development, integration, and maintenance of critical business applications, especially those utilizing AI technologies.

Serve as a subject matter expert, advising on optimal technologies and methodologies that support business challenges and enhance AI capabilities.

Application Portfolio Management :

Oversee the full lifecycle of business applications, including planning, selection, implementation, and continuous optimization.

Supervise a portfolio of applications to ensure high standards for performance, security, and user experience are maintained.

Recommend and assess third-party AI-powered software solutions to improve operational efficiency and drive innovation in business processes.

Project Management & Implementation :

Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of AI-related application projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with business goals.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, and external vendors, to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality solutions.

Team Leadership & Development :

Lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing applications team with a focus on innovation, collaboration, and accountability.

Establish clear performance expectations, provide constructive feedback, and support team members' career growth in the AI and technology domain.

Governance & Compliance :

Ensure that all applications comply with internal security policies, external regulations, and industry standards, especially in AI applications.

Develop and enforce IT governance frameworks for managing application lifecycles, ensuring the security and scalability of AI systems.

Mitigate risks associated with application systems by implementing robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation :

Monitor application performance and lead initiatives to improve efficiency, scalability, and user experience, with an emphasis on AI-driven improvements.

Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in AI and machine learning, and recommend their adoption where beneficial to the business.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management :

Foster strong relationships with AI vendors, service providers, and external partners to ensure reliable support and high-quality solutions.

Serve as the primary liaison for stakeholders across the organization, ensuring that IT initiatives, especially those involving AI, align with business needs and objectives.

The Successful Applicant :

Education :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., MBA, ITIL, PMP) are highly desirable.

Experience :

A minimum of 15 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing application management in the AI sector.

Proven track record in managing AI and enterprise applications (e.g., AI-powered ERP, CRM, HRIS) in large-scale organizations.

Extensive experience with Agile and Waterfall application development methodologies.

Experience working with cloud-based applications, SaaS platforms, and integrating third-party solutions.

Exposure to AI and machine learning technologies, with a focus on AI-driven applications and platforms.

Technical Expertise :

Proficient in AI application management tools, databases, and integration platforms.

Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and the AI application lifecycle.

Expertise in IT security, compliance, and risk management for AI applications.

Skilled in data analytics, AI business intelligence tools, and reporting solutions.
