Category Manager

Key Responsibilities :

Analyze market data to identify industry and consumer trends, leveraging insights to drive category growth.

Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with direct distributors and wholesalers to optimize product offerings.

Develop annual budgets and sales targets for each category, ensuring profitability and alignment with business objectives.

Implement business plans to achieve strategic goals, overseeing pricing strategies and margin maintenance.

Monitor and optimize category performance, implementing exit strategies for underperforming products.

Build strong vendor relationships to negotiate favorable pricing and ensure quality service delivery.

Manage inventory levels and product availability to meet customer demand and maximize sales opportunities.

Strategically position product categories to enhance visibility and market share.

Conduct competitive analysis to monitor pricing trends and market positioning.

Collaborate closely with buyers and merchandisers to expand and diversify product categories.

Requirements :

Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Buyer or Category Manager in the FMCG sector.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

Strong organizational and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

Proficient in financial analysis and budget management.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Ability to manage complexity, make data-driven decisions, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
