Overview

The SIS Academic Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the management and implementation of the Student Information System within an academic institution. This role involves coordinating between academic departments and IT to ensure the effective use of the SIS for student data management, reporting, and compliance. The coordinator will support faculty and staff in utilizing the system for academic planning, registration, and student success initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the Student Information System, ensuring data integrity and compliance with institutional policies.
• Collaborate with academic departments to streamline processes related to course registration, grading, and academic advising.
• Provide training and support to faculty, staff, and students on SIS functionalities and best practices.
• Develop and implement procedures for data entry, reporting, and analysis to enhance academic operations.
• Monitor system performance and address any technical issues in collaboration with the IT department.
• Generate reports and analytics to support decision-making and strategic planning in academic programs.
• Assist in the development of policies related to academic records, privacy, and data management.
• Stay current with updates and enhancements to the SIS, implementing necessary changes to improve system efficiency.
• Facilitate communication between academic departments and the IT team to ensure alignment of goals and priorities.
• Participate in academic committees and initiatives to enhance student success and engagement through effective use of the SIS.
