Overview

Electrical Engineer – Facility Management project, Saudi Arabia. Job Code : JB . Company : ASMACS. Industry : Facility Management / Building Operation & Maintenance. Location : Saudi Arabia. Salary : Negotiable in SAR. This opportunity is exclusively open to India candidates.

Responsibilities

Supervise and execute preventive and corrective maintenance protocols for electrical apparatus, circuitry, and power distribution systems to ensure operational integrity and performance optimization.
Design, maintain, and install electrical systems and components to required specifications, with focus on safety, quality, and sustainability.
Oversee and ensure proper functioning of electrical power systems in building facilities; supervise preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing faults, installing new equipment, and providing technical support to field technicians and project management.
Install new electrical equipment and peripherals, including panels, breakers, switchgear, lighting accessories, and related components.
Work with other engineers to design new or modified systems, ensuring they meet building or facility needs.
Maintain uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems and standby generator sets, including automatic transfer switch (ATS) operations; develop redundancy frameworks and disaster recovery plans.
Use CAD tools to engineer and retrofit electrical systems; ensure integration with building automation systems (BAS); comply with NEC and relevant standards; perform load calculations and select protective devices.
Administer electrical safety programs and ensure OSHA compliance; conduct arc flash analyses and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Optimize inventory management for critical spare parts and consumables; forecast demand to minimize storage costs.
Train other employees to operate and maintain electrical power systems.
Comply with applicable safety regulations and ensure systems are safe to operate.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.

5 - 10 years of experience in maintenance of electrical systems (main distribution systems, building facilities); Gulf experience in Facility Management / Building Operation & Maintenance projects preferred.

Skills and Competencies

Technical skills in electrical power; design, application, and maintenance of electrical systems from MV to local panel boards.

Problem-solving : ability to identify and solve electrical system issues; critical thinking and creative solutions.

Communication : ability to explain technical concepts clearly to clients, architects, engineers, and technicians.

Teamwork : ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

Safety : ability to work safely and follow safety procedures; identify and mitigate hazards.

Selection Criteria

Strong understanding of electricity principles; ability to read blueprints and schematics.

Ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot electrical drawings and systems; communicate effectively; write clear reports.

Teamwork and collaborative skills; safe work practices.

Special Conditions

Work in various settings; ability to work at heights; lift and carry heavy objects.

Work in confined spaces; hot and cold environments; exposure to hazardous materials; follow safety procedures.

Experience Requirements

5 years of experience in maintenance of main distribution systems and building facilities; Gulf experience preferred.
