Overview
Associate Manager Software Engineering / Team Lead (Sharepoint) responsibilities include maintaining the integrity, security, availability, scalability and performance of SharePoint Services, developing PowerShell scripts, and planning, designing and implementing environment updates and patches to keep systems current with changing technologies. The role involves coordinating with teams to ensure SharePoint Services meet business requirements and providing advice, training and technical support related to SharePoint technologies. Responsibilities
Provides operational support, incident and problem handling for SharePoint Services. Administration and maintaining SharePoint Services. Design and implement Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) for SharePoint Service. Be aware of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V). Plan, design, implement, document and administer Microsoft SharePoint. Provide SharePoint administration including SharePoint and SQL Server patching, preventive maintenance, and performance optimization. Monitor system and event logs and activity on all SharePoint servers to ensure system health and address errors before they affect service. Collaborate with other teams to maintain SharePoint service availability, scalability, reliability and performance. Work closely with the PMO to ensure proper planning and execution of projects and initiatives. Research, install and test SharePoint and SQL Server patches and updates. Facilitate site moves and relocations without affecting service availability and performance. Implement SharePoint requirements and business needs. Provide advice and guidance related to SharePoint solutions and technologies to the organization and its units. Develop systems design, implementation and test documentation. Provide training and opportunities for learning SharePoint technologies to all employees and consultants. Define metrics to measure and communicate the efficiency and effectiveness of the SharePoint environment. Identify potential areas where existing policies and procedures require change or new ones are needed for future business expansion. Be prepared for temporary reassignment or promotion as needed; provide work coverage and administrative notification during absences. Participate in 24x7 On-Call support rota if required. Authority
Oversee activities of SharePoint environment, including scheduling and prioritizing these activities. Coordinate SharePoint environment activities with other IT and enterprise groups. Represent the enterprise when working with vendors on SharePoint-related issues. Provide technical SharePoint leadership to IT and the enterprise. Mandatory Skills
Experience in administration of MS SharePoint on-premises and online versions. Knowledge of servers for DNS, SMTP, and mail. Experience in SharePoint applications installation and configuration. Experience in virtualization (VMware and Hyper-V). Knowledge of setting up Microsoft Cluster environments. Knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems. Understanding of SQL database server administration. Knowledge of standard backup procedures and data restoration. Knowledge of Enterprise System Management Products. Familiar with networking technologies (TCP / IP, VLANs, Switching, Load balancing, LAN / WAN). Ability to troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint issues. Experience in IT governance, service support and delivery processes (ITIL). Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills; analytical, problem solving and reporting skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities; open, positive and cooperative attitude; strong customer-care mindset. Team player with a positive can-do attitude; ethical, dependable and accountable for assigned scope. Ability to work to tight timescales in dynamic environments and accommodate varying hours and shifts. BS or BA degree in computer science, business administration or related field required. Note :
