Laundry Operator

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare different kinds of cleaning materials for washing.
• Receive laundry from hospital departments, record its weight, and place it in a designated room.
• Sort contaminated items and wash them separately.
• Load washed items into the laundry machine and start washing using appropriate detergents.
• Dry the washed items after washing.
• Place dried items in clean carts and send them for ironing.
• Follow washing and drying instructions as per the manual.
• Maintain records of washed items to track the amount and source of work done.
• Supervise laundry and drying equipment; submit recommendations to the laundry supervisor, ensure cleanliness, and report any defects.
• Adhere to safety principles and rules during work.
• Perform any other duties related to laundry activities as assigned.
