Data Centre Specialist – Power Systems

Job Description

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Data Centre Specialist – Power Systems to join our team!

In this role, you will oversee the technical delivery of all electrical infrastructure for a fast-track hyperscale data centre project targeting Uptime Institute Tier III / IV certification. The facility includes complex power infrastructure with high redundancy, fault tolerance, and maintainability requirements, ensuring continuous, uninterrupted mission-critical operations.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Provide technical oversight of power system design, installation, and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with Uptime Institute Tier III / IV requirements for redundancy and maintainability.
• Review and validate electrical designs, load calculations, and fault current analyses.
• Coordinate with design consultants, contractors, and commissioning teams.
• Support Integrated Systems Testing (IST) and ensure proper failover and recovery scenarios.
• Monitor installation quality and ensure alignment with project specifications and standards.
• Participate in risk assessments, technical reviews, and value engineering exercises.
• Support documentation, training, and handover to operations teams.
