Sr. Pipeline Engineer

Responsibilities

Responsible for the study, design, specification and services related to pipelines including selection and layout of routes, field surveys, material selection, coating systems, cathodic protection, leak detection, valve, terminal and pump stations and installation techniques.

Under general supervision, perform all conventional aspects of the functional area subject matter.

Devise new approaches to problems encountered.

Plan, schedule, and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.

Perform work which involves conventional engineering practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements.

Provide technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers.

As the lead, plan, budgets, organize, coordinate and control the project and be responsible for employee performance appraisals and for coaching and developing lower level professionals (as applicable).

Lead the project or a significant segment of a larger project and ensure alignment with objectives and requirements.

Certification as a Licensed / Chartered Professional Engineer is preferred.

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in Engineering.

Minimum of 7 years related design experience (GES+), with average experience ranging from 10 years.

Local in Saudi Arabia.
